Hello again folks and thank you for joining us for another installment of The Resurrection of Tiamet Escalation/narrative. This week we are playing at Atomic Games at 1902 Youngsfeild St. Suite 206, in Golden Co 80401. Looks like we may have winter weather again for this event so for those of you that can brave the conditions we look forward to seeing you at Wes' shop.
With live specimens remaining illusive to Commander Chenkov is hard pressed to prove his theory he has set forth to the Odos Xenos Bio Research team assigned to him on the front. As the allied forces move further into the sector the only threats that have been revealed have been numerous Chaos Cults dug in deeply into one of the arms of the system. In rapid succession suitable planets for sustaining human life are quickly filled tainted by the fifth of the Chaos gods. No sooner has the grace of the emperors mercy felt on a planet another one falls to the taint of Chaos. Commander Chenkov has now to redirect his focus from the illusive hive fleet to the unholy stain that has seeped into this system.
Week four 1000 points*
* = Restricted force organization chart, Players must have one HQ and one Troop choice, and may only have only one selection for Elite, Fast Attack, or Heavy Support troops and NO vehicle can have a front armor value higher than 12. No special characters or characters with more than three wounds, and no flyers.
Gaming should be played on a four foot by four foot surface.

Campaign - The Resurrection of Tiamat (Preview - Week Three)
Hello again folks, Ian with Kreator Hobbies. So last week was a lot of fun. Even with the atrocious weather we had here in Denver we still managed a few games at Atomic and we thank those of you brave enough to come out and support us and Atomic Games, it means a lot to us both! So this week we will be back at Bonnie Brae Hobbies on 3421 S. Broadway in Englewood. Wolf and the guys that play down there are very friendly and you can find a wide variety of players from beginners to veterans. This, the third week of the campaign, will have everyone's first chance to play without the restricted force organization chart. We will still be playing small forces as all games will be played at 750 points and the standard force organization is required, but all games will be played on a four foot by four foot table. Now that we got that taken care of we can get back to the story...
Week Three: The brood moves forward across the jungle floor, searching for something. The creatures cannot figure out where the matriarch has gone. A stale scent fills their nasal center and synapses begin to burn with intensity. She was here and couldn't have been here more than a day or two ago. The matriarch has been moving a lot more frequently as of late. Her children have been scrambling to find her. As they move to press on there is a flash. Pain, or at least the closest thing that a genestealer can feel, rips through its body and all goes black for a second. The brood comes to in a clearing. Groggy the genestealers makes its way to an upright position. Wind sweeps over the brood, this is a new place, a new scents fill the nasal center of the genestealers, and the signal is telepathically relayed. “The matriarch is close.”
We very much appreciate all of those who continue to support us and our friendly local gaming stores. It is very nice to see the Denver gaming community begin to have more options when it comes to how they play. We are working very hard to revolutionize where we play and what we play on. The prototype continues to to come together. The legs are on it and with a few final touches it will be ready for stain. We plan to unveil this beauty here very soon so keep an eye out for new information regarding that. Thank all of you guys again we could not do it without you guys.

Campaign - The Resurrection of Tiamat (Preview - Week Two)
Hello again from Kreator Hobbies! We hope everyone enjoyed last week's game and are excitedly looking forward to play again this week with tomorrow night's game at Atomic Games. Wes (Atomic's owner) is a great guy and has a nice shop with a wide variety of products to choose from from console games to various miniature wargames to Magic: the Gathering & various RPG's in his "library" for use for anyone looking to start a D&D/Pathfinder/Rifts/WoD campaign. The Resurrection of Tiamat game will run from 5pm to 10pm tomorrow and we cant wait to see you guys there! If you need their info, Atomic Games is located at:
1921 Youngfield Ave Suite 206
Golden, Colorado 80401
303-237-4509
So without further delay here is week two of The Resurection of Tiamet!
Week Two: With sweeps finished and no direct threats found information is verified about the Tiamet Splinter Fleet. It appears the higher than normal psychic energy in the sector has caused the frontal cerebral cortex on the Tyranid specimens found on the Inquest to grow at an alarming rate. It seems to suggest that the attackers had a higher brain function than a normal Tyranid would typically have. This would have given the genestealers that attacked the Inquest an additional advantage due to an increase in their reflex speed, communication centers, and heightened senses. An alarming piece of information to uncover, however, without concrete proof, or a live specimen, will the High Lord of Terra accept this new information? Imperial forces are now scrambling to find proof of the mutated Tyranids.
This game will be played at 750 points and will follow the restricted force organization chart explained below.
* = Restricted force organization chart:
Players must have one HQ and one Troop choice, and may only have only one selection for Elite, Fast Attack, or Heavy Support units. Also, no vehicle can have a front armor value higher than 12, nor can a player have any special characters, or flyers.
Furthermore, if you are just joining us these are the campaign special rules that we will be having fun with tomorrow.
Universal rules for every game:
At the beginning of all games the players must roll a dice to determine what kind of planet they are going to gaming on. A roll of a 1 or 2 the players are on a stable world whereas on a 3-6 th players are to roll off to determine the type of death world it will be as well as for the type of mission played using the information from White Dwarf #387.
Before each game the players will roll a D6 for the number of objectives. Of the objectives, D3 will contain D3 genestealers. Players will roll to determine the number of objectives infected. The first time an objective has a player's non-flier unit move within 6 inches of it, the player will roll a dice. On a 1- 3 the player encounters nothing whereas on a 4-6 the objective is infected and they must roll a D3 to determine the number of genestealers there are in the objective. The unit will become engaged in assault and will not be able to use over watch rules. The only way this can be changed is if the players have used up their “infected” objectives, being only left with infected objectives per the D3 roll from the beginning of the game. The unit that uncovers the genestealers is instantly considered to be engaged in close combat as if assaulted as soon as the infected objective is triggered. Note objectives cannot be within 8 inches of a deployment zone or within 12 inches of another objective.
Special Note!!! Any psycher on the board will generate an extra dice per turn to be used in the psychic power per phase.

Hobby Guide - Hive Fleet Cthulhu
Paint and Conversion Plan for Cthulhu Genestealers
So what we got here for you today is a fun paint and conversion plan for the Genestealers of Hive Fleet Cthulhu which we are utilizing for our Tiamat escalation league in Denver. What started as a joke turned challenge has been finished and we wanted to share this with the fans of our site. Whilst prepping for our campaign, CJ (who's largest army he plays is his personally created Hive Fleet Gerasene, aka the Purple People Eaters) donated extra bits he had laying around to be featured as our genestealer infestations. While trying to come up with a Tyranid paint scheme he jokingly suggested creating Hive Fleet Cthulhu knowing my admiration of H.P. Lovecraft lore. While it was too late to change the marketing materials and the fleet just wouldn't fit with the fluff of the campaign, we came to love the idea and it will end up being our first official studio army here at Kreator. Many people asked how they were created at our first scenario for our campaign that we are running at Bonnie Brea Hobbies and Atomic Games, so in response we are posting how to create Hive Fleet Cthulhu in general here for all of you!
The Build
Ok so the conversion that we went for here was pretty simple. We used green stuff to fill the open mouthed genestealers and we cut off as many of the implant tongues as felt necessary (leaving them on makes for a fun finished product too). We mixed up some green stuff and rolled it out to about roughly 1-1.5 mm thick tubes. Then we cut the tubes rolled down to 1/3"-1/2" sections. With those sections we attached the cut pieces of green stuff to the mouths of the genestealers and filled it all in to make the tentacles complete.
The Paint
We started off by using what we like to call the poor mans air brush or a can of Rust-Oleum painters touch can. The color is Eden and the green should be near the hue of Nurgling or Ogryn green. The end result once you have sprayed it should look like this:
After that we applied an over brush of Moot Green to the model to finish off the highlight to the skin on the model. The final result should look like this:
From there we took Zandri Dust and painted the carapace and claws. We then painted the accents, veins, and eyes with Xereus purple. This completes all of the basecoats on the model.
For the highlights on the carapace we layered on Tallarn Sand, followed by a secondary highlight of Ushabti Bone.
Then wash all of it with agrax earthshade.
Once that dries use Daemonette Hide and highlight the Xereus Purple. Finally you can paint the base. You can use Mephiston Red then dry brush with Evil Suns Scarlet like we did or go with your own!
Well we hope you enjoy this and thought it was helpful. Please feel free to add your submissions and look again to see how Hive Fleet Cthulhu grows!

Campaign - The Resurection of Tiamat Campaign (Batrep - Week One)
Greetings Denver gaming community again from Ian with Kreator Hobbies.
We wanted to extend a warm thank you to everyone who stopped by to play the scenario last night at Bonnie Brae Hobbies! We hope every one had as much as we did, the night was eventful and we got to see some very scary match ups and some entertaining fights. There was a fight between Daemons and Blood Angels that was particularly brutal! The Blood Angels player hulled up to avoid a walloping from a daemon prince but it did not avail him. The daemon prince and his screamers flew across the field of play, smashing into the aegis wall, destroying the Blood Angels but not without suffering some heavy causalities of their own! One match up had Eldar fighting Word Bearers and (with some help from the mysterious genestealer cult) the fight very quickly became Word Bearers versus banshees and a farseer. The forces of chaos seemed to have the advantage for the middle stretch of the game but were unable to capitalize on their early advantage, allowing the Banshees to soon exact a very violent and prolific toll on the unit of chosen who fell quickly to their opponent's skill and martial prowess. This left a small contingent of cultist's to hold the line against the banshee's full fury.
We really enjoy setting these types of events up for people and hope to see more and more of the Denver gaming community during these events. We will of course continue to tweak and perfect all of our scenarios and story lines to perfection and we will also begin a hobbyist's corner for all those who need help with building and painting the models to get that help. We really do not want a single hobbyist to think that this is too much or that they cannot make their models look like what they envisioned when they bought the box. We've all had that anxiety set in after opening up the box and after a combined 28 years experience in this hobby we guarantee we can show you how to build and paint anything that you want to regardless of materials it is made of, pose, model line, or even if you want to build a custom piece. CJ has played since 1996 & I have since 2002, so we have a lot of experience with painting, modelling and gaming as well so bring it on down! We only have one request PLEASE let us know your concerns or bring your own materials with you to hobby with us and we'll be more than happy to show you the ropes!

Campaign - The Resurrection of Tiamat (Preview - Week One)
Hello Denver gaming community and best wishes to all! This week has been full of preparation for tomorrow's Resurrection of Tiamet opener at Bonnie Brae Hobbies. We will be playing from 5pm until roughly 9-10pm and we have prepared some fun scenarios for everybody. For those who read this tonight they will get some insight into the story arc of the campaign before we show it off tomorrow in shop. Each week we will provide a sneak peek for our users of the story line and give them a reminder of any points limit as well as other considerations that the player may need. I present to you week ones story for April 10th's Resurrection of Tiamet Campaign.
Week One: As the Imperium begins its entrance into the system, the Inquiest's hull is quickly found and all information decimated from the wreckage. The first blurry images of an old foe appear and begin to strengthen the resolve for the Imperium to wipe the sector clean of the Xeno threat. However the Imperium does not seem to have been the last guests to the now space hulk. Evidence is quickly found that recently the cargo holds of the ship have received visitors within the last week. At this the Valhallan Commander Kubrick Chenkov of the Valhallan 18th regiment has ordered a sweep of the nearby planets to assess the situation as the Imperium enters the sector.
Well I hope you all liked the short scene you just read there as well as the story from the post a few days ago. We want to continue to give as rich a story to all of these as we possibly can so if you have some suggestions drop us a line here for campaign as well as story ideas and ways we can improve. By the way, since this leads off our first sneak peak into the wondrous world of Kreator we figured we would give you just a little bit more than just the points limit for tomorrow's game but some of the fun rules inserted into the game. With the area in question being rife with death worlds in between the Eye of Terror and Storm of the Emperors Wrath warp storms we figured it only fitting to utilize the death world rules!

Campaign - The Resurrection of Tiamat (Schedule)
Okay everybody, exciting news in the Denver gaming community. CJ and I have been working feverishly over the past few months and are now ready to launch the Resurrection of Tiamat escalation campaign! This is going to be a very fun campaign with an interesting story arc. We will be hosting games at two stores: Bonnie Brae Hobbies and Atomic Games. Bonnie Brae is located at 3421 S Broadway, Englewood, CO 80113 & their phone number is 303-806-6526 where we will be hosting our opener on April 10th. Atomic is located at 1921 Youngsfield St, Golden, CO 80401 & their phone number is 303-237-4509. We will be at Atomic the following Wednesday, April 17th, and will continue to alternate locations each week. However feel free to go to either store each week and play the campaign! Each store has a copy of how to set up and play each game each week.
Thank you to the support of all of those whole helped play test the scenarios with me (John, Will, Anthony, and James your help was awesome).
The Resurrection of Tiamet
In the late 37th millennia an Imperial Dauntless class cruiser, the Inquest as well as its full escort were lost to a biological infestation in the Tiamat Sector whilst conducting a mapping and resource priorities survey. What they found was a sector wrought with death worlds and little by way of resources. With the system flanked on both sides by the Eye of Terror and the Storm of the Emperors Wrath the sector seems to have an affinity for the warps psychic energy.
While deep in the double binary system the Inquest and its escorts were invaded by an unknown entity. The ship recorded the incident for almost 136 hours while privy to a series of odd events before all hands of the Inquest and its support ships were devoured by a brood of mutated genestealers. Upon a formal investigation conducted by the Ordos Xenos, it was found that the genestealers responsible for the destruction of the Inquest were a part of a splinter fleet that had become affected by the increased psychic presence of the sector. The previously unknown Tyranid fleet was poised for what could have been a devastating assault through the center of imperial space with unknown potential gifted by the winds of chaos. Time passed and the Imperium prepared for a scourge that never materialized. Reports gave way to rumor and the threat faded away. Eventually, with emergence of hive fleet Kraken, the splinter fleet was believed to have been destroyed.
However during a training mission turned exterminatus on Fenris, as well as through the diligent investigation of an excellent citizen report on Valhalla, two genestealer broods were exposed allowing their home worlds to be expunged of any xeno threat before it manifested. The broods were small and contained no further Tyranid subspecies in close proximity or nearby, and the Ordos Xenos launched a full inquiry into the sector. The emergence of genestealers bearing the markings of a lost horror has conscripted Cadians, Valhallans, other imperial regiments, as well the Space Wolves, Crimson Fists, and White Scars who have vowed their assistance.
With the spread of information and the hurried response of the Imperium other forces become interested in the secrets of the Tiamat Sector. Orks drum up old tales of the “Ugly gene sneakers" while the sector itself seems to be manifesting a horrid appearance as warp storms begin to swell. Upon entering the sector the first Valhallan regiments confirmed Dark Eldar closely perused by a contingent of Harliquins and part of craft world Beil-tan. Chaos cultists have also emerged determined to undermine any progress for the loyalist troops.
As all eyes begin to turn towards this double binary system between two massive warp storms, the question remains. Do the genestealers represent the revival of a hive fleet that has rooted itself in an illusive sector able to wreak havoc on the center of the imperial planets? Are they followed up with what seems to be complicit chaos forces in the area? What is with the the sudden emergence of the Eldar? We are left with many unanswered questions about a sector that appears to have taken an ominous form in preparation for the terrible discoveries yet to be made deep within the sector's core.
